About meI learned to walk and talk in Tilburg, the Netherlands and was educated in Melbourne, Australia. I maintain my Dutch roots by regularly drinking La Trappe beer, Dutch Brown Ale and karne-melk and by indulging in zuurkool and dubbel zoute drops. In September 2008, I relocated to Woodend, Victoria, Australia. I'm temporarily retired and have been a social worker, psychologist, corporate manager, teacher, researcher, psychotherapist. In 2008, I completed a pilgrimage from my north London home to the Basilica of St Peter, Rome crossing four countries on foot - a distance of 2,092-km. I'm planning to continue the journey to Jerusalem and invite expressions of interest from people who enjoy long distance walking to contact me at: alcvanamelsvoort@gmail.com.

About my libraryMy book shelves are bare - But not for much longer.
