About meMy life has become so much richer since I was tought how to read...
After the grammar school and University years with their compulsory reading of heavy literature in big quantities I'm now finding my way back to literature, just because I like to read something that I do have to chew on a bit longer. Apart from that, for me books are a way to learn about the world, other people's idea's. When reading a book, it is like a movie starts in my head. No need to see "the film, based on..." for me

About my libraryI like historical novels like Pillars of the Earth, thrillers & espionage books, literature. I also like books on language. What I definitely don't like is chicklit, most romance books, books on (child) abuse, vampire & werewolf books, westerns.

I am trying to read as many books of the 1001-list as I possibly can.
