- About My Library
- We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land the Centre for Stories is located on, the Whadjuk people. We respect their culture and the continuing contribution they make to the life of this city and this region.
Visitors to the The Centre for Stories will know that it's home to a beautifully presented library of over 3,000 volumes. Generous donations seeded and subsequently grew this collection, and it is pleasing to see how it has come to reflect and inform the wonderful diversity and energy in our community. Our library and reading room are open during our normal business hours and you are welcome to visit and browse.
You can explore our books by clicking on any of the collections or tags on this page, or you can go to our simple and very elegant Centre for Stories TinyCat Catalogue.
Either way you'll see all our books listed plus a wealth of information, including 18,786 customised links to book reviews, author profiles and more.

- Founded in 2015 by John and Caroline Wood, the Centre for Stories is a vibrant, inclusive literary arts and cultural organisation. We use storytelling to inspire social cohesion and improve understanding of diverse communities. We matter because stories matter; and stories matter because people matter. Stories are the way we connect with each other and make a difference to the lives of the people around us.
