I'd mostly read non-fiction until I discovered that I actually quite enjoy Historical Romance. History and interpersonal relationships have always really interested me so perhaps I should have seen that coming! =D I still read many nonfiction Books each year, on a wide variety of topics, but now I also burn through dozens upon dozens of HR novels. Life is stressful, read whatever catches your interest!
I couldn't fit in nearly so many books without audiobooks, which allow me to 'read' while still going about my life. I also recommend increasing the audio's speed a bit if your comprehension and enjoyment allow for it.
