My library is centered on children’s picture books that help young readers understand fear, hesitation, courage, emotional growth, and the small steps it takes to begin. I’m especially interested in stories that give families, teachers, and caregivers language for big feelings, worry, avoidance, bedtime fears, trying again, and building confidence without pressure or shame.

KD Schnee is the author of The Rabbit in the Moon, a children’s picture book about fear, hesitation, courage, and the tiny brave steps children take when something feels too big.
