4 1/2 - One of the best books I've read in a long time. I might even reread it (something I very rarely do).
4 - A very good book that I will recommend friends to read.
3 1/2 - A good book that I'm glad I read.
3 - A good book, but perhaps not very memorable.
2 1/2 - An OK book, but I will recommend to my friends that they skip it. Life is short.
2 - Not a very good book. I might or might not have finished it, depending on circumstances.
1 1/2 - Quite a bad book, but with some qualities. I didn't manage to finish it, or if I finished it, it was because I felt compelled to for external reasons.
1 - A very bad book. I really disliked it and stopped reading it after just a few pages.
1/2 - Horrible. One of the worst books I've tried to read as an adult.
