- About My Library
- We are reading a very diverse library, from classical works like Dickens' Great Expectations, to popular novels like Dan Brown's Lost Symbol, to Paulo Coelho's The Zahir, to Milan Kundera's The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
- About Me
- Wiera and Alex are retirees finally having the time to read and write. We recently published our first novel, a historical novel about life and love in postwar Poland's time of turmois, called Birthmarked for Freedom, birthmarkedforfreedom.com. Wiera ("Vera") was born in Poland and lived through the harrowing times described in the novel. She met Alex and moved to the United States, where they raised three sons now pursuing diverse professions. Wiera is trained as a gerontological nurse practitioner, and Alex as a materials scientist who worked as a research scientist, manager and executive.
