About meJ. G. Bemiss has attended Michigan State for the better part of his English degree. So close to the goal (and the on the high edge of starting real life), he has begun dedicating more time to reading and writing, the things that he'd like to do for a living. He spends whatever time that he isn't jumping through hoops for professors or writing down his thoughts playing his electric bass and mandolin, occasionally venturing out to see his friends (who are, to no surprise, just as wonderfully eccentric as he).
His favorite author (if he HAD to pick ONE) is Neil Gaiman.
He likes rock, bluegrass, classical, folk, and alternative music.
He talks to himself when he is shopping for books.
His ideal night on the town is going to the bookstore and grabbing a new novel then hanging out at the nearest burrito joint; eating and reading (yeah, he gets teased by drunks a lot).

About my libraryMy library has developed through selective hoarding over the past few years. I haven't really counted how many books I have currently, but it must be some very large number (people who've never met me before always take that moment when walking into my room to wonder if I am crazy). I love science fiction and fantasy, but I don't limit myself, knowing that the wide world holds all sorts of wonderful surprises. Since I don't really have any general rules about what kind of books I buy (just as long as their good), my library is a mish-mash of all genres. I don't organize my books in any particular way save according to space allowance; it doesn't matter anyway since I have some strange sixth sense about the location and condition of all my books.
