About me
Leftist AF - Black Lives Matter - Anti-racist

I love my 4 brilliant kids, family, friends, naps, audiobooks, Great Pyrenees, book podcasts, true crime podcasts, road trips, feminism, solitude, Starbucks, and long hot baths
I loathe racists, bigots, misogynists, moderates, conservatives, religious zealots, fence riders, checkout lines, winter, and people who say listening to audiobooks isn't reading

My favorite genres are general fiction, womens fiction, dark fantasy, thrillers, some YA, dystopic or post-apocalyptic, some literary fiction, historical fiction, memoirs.

I enjoy dark stories with complex characters, stories of survival under extreme circumstances, stories that explore the darker aspects of humanity, unhappy endings, authenticity - and I also enjoy feel good brain candy stories and rags to riches fairy tales.

I dislike love triangles, weak or corny dialog, inauthentic characters, cliffhanger endings, scooby-doo endings, info dumps, trilogies that should have been a standalone and books that take place in winter or a cold climate.

My favorite authors include:
Margaret George
Alison Weir
Jean Plaidy
Stacia Kane
Neil Gaiman
Maria V. Snyder
Anne Bishop
George RR Martin
Robin Hobb
Brandon Sanderson
Mercedes Lackey
Kendare Blake
Susan Ee
Julie Kagawa
Taylor Jenkins Reid
Gillian Flynn
Chevy Stevens
Tarryn Fisher
Holly Black
