About meI was born in Philadelphia and moved to Texas while a teen. My maternal side of the family is from Poland while my father's side of the family goes back to England, Ireland, and Italy.
I grew up, married, and started a family in the United States. Our family moved internationally in 2002 and we spent seven wonderful years abroad. We lived 4 years in Caracas, Venezuela and then 3 years in Doha, Qatar. We were sent back to the United States last summer and have been living in Texas for the past year. We hope to move overseas again as soon as possible because we love learning about other cultures and being exposed to other lifestyles. I have learned some Spanish and some Arabic while overseas and would love to learn more of those languages as well as others.
I am a Christian and my heart is definitely committed to Christ, but I am also very interested in other religions in the world and I find it fascinating to see how they relate to God. I find so much to learn in the world and I love it when I am introduced to something which makes my head and my heart stop and ponder for hours upon hours.
Reading is a passion of mine and I have over 800 books in my home right now. I'm trying to downsize my library so am reading many books one more time and then passing them on to friends and family or trading them on bookmooch.
I like all types of books but I tire of "fluff" books and prefer more plots with more thought put into them.

About my libraryI've collected many books over the years--so many that they no longer fit on my bookshelves! I'm trying to read as many books as I can and then actually part with it is difficult to do!!! I'll hold on to my favorites, of course....

I notice you have a copy of Easy Russian, which I also have.

Are you still studying Russian? If so, you might find Practical Russian Reader helpful. It is a new book of Russian short stories with helpful exercises.

Let me know what you think of it?

Thank you for excellent review of Easy Russian. We have other learning materials and new books, contemporary and classics. If you would like to review any of our releases let me know. And have a look though our catalogues

Thanks! I've received Being Emily today and I've reserved it on my BM inventory for you for 30 days. Let me know if you have any problems! I'm still waiting to receive the Woman in White but it has been marked as sent so I'm optimistic!

I'll reserve it for you on BM, I'm so glad I found someone to take it! :)
Hi Nancy!

I managed to get both the books you asked for an angel for today. I've read Being Emily, and really liked it! Would you mind if I read the Woman in White before I send it on to you?

I didn't manage to find an angel for the Balzac, so I would be SO grateful if I could mooch it from you at some point - there's no rush! I'm supposed to be writing my Masters thesis over the summer so it's probably best if you don't give me more excuses to avoid working! :-)

Thank you so much, you are wonderful!

Hello again! I'm really sorry - the owner of the book has just rejected my mooch. She said she's just looked through the book and noticed that there are lots of pages missing. How frustrating!

I've just done a quick search on BM and there is a hardcover copy available in the US. If that's not what you're after, I will keep an eye open for any other copies coming up on BM and in my local charity shops and will let you have first refusal if I put it up on BM.

I've created a listing for the Alfred Hitchcock magazines and reserved it for you here:

Thanks a lot for asking! I had kind of despaired of anyone wanting them after a few days went by with no response. :)
Glad I could be of help. I am still navigating on this website myself. It's not as easy to use as Come check out my blog sometime. You can find the link on my profile.
