Having studied Fine Art at the Slade School, I worked as a magazine and partworks editor for 11 years, specialising in cookery and crafts, before going freelance in 1996. Since then, I have written and illustrated books on a variety of creative subjects, and have had features and interviews published in a wide range of magazines including Embroidery, Stitches, Let’s Knit, Crafts Beautiful, Quick & Crafty, Needlecraft, Beads & Beyond, Family Circle, Practical Gardening, Practical Parenting, Junior and Art Attack.
I am involved in a wide range of crafts but prefer embroidery, knitting, crochet, collage and watercolour painting, and I particularly enjoys art and craft activities that involve recycling and reinventing.
I am a qualified teacher with plenty of experience running workshops in watercolours, knitting and crochet, and 3D Design.
