About meI am a Canadian, born in 1958, with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Alberta (1981)and a masters degree - wanting to start work on a PhD in Organizational Leadership.
I've done community development in Indonesia for the last 10 years.
My interests include emergent church, postmodernity and the cultural shift from Modernity to Postmodernity to Post-post modernity. I'm not too interested in the philosophy of postmodernism except as it impacts postmodernity. I am interested in culture change both in societies at large and in the church as it manifests itself in particular cultures and across cultures.
I delight in my two young adult children from whom I learn alot about postmodernity and contemporary Canadian and global culture - and about life!

About my libraryWe (I share my library with my wife - with whom I have enjoyed working all of our 23 years of marriage) have a fairly extensive library - some of which we inherited from my wife's father (and mother) who both taught in Indonesia from the 1950s to the 1990s. I speak Indonesian and am learning Madurese so have some books in Indonesian in my library. Some of my library is from my college graduate days and much of it I've accumulated along the way. When we moved back to Canada in 2006 to settle our young adult children into adult life, we brought our library with us but will probably leave most of it in Canada if and when we return to Asia.
