About meI consider myself blessed for being raised by parents who encouraged reading and the feeding of my imagination. I worked in the acquisitions department of an academic library from 2000-2013, and loved (almost) every minute of it.

Aside from books and reading (I do include comic books in this category), I love movies, roleplaying games (mostly tabletop, some computer/video), science, and cooking.

Favorite authors would be Greg Bear, Kurt Busiek, Robin Cook, Warren Ellis, Gardner Fox, H.P. Lovecraft, Grant Morrison (when he's sober/reined in), and James White.

About my libraryI used to be a compulsive reader, but of late have become more a compulsive book-hoarder. I'm hoping that, by cataloguing my collection in LibraryThing, it will help me re-discover what I have, and get me to reading again.

The genres I tend to gravitate to are science fiction, fantasy, and horror, and comic books and roleplaying games.
