I'm an instructional designer, scuba instructor, and college professor (astronomy, English, management, leadership, math, national security, space operations and history) enamored with the use of technology in education. Right now, I'm experimenting with the new "AI" large language models to create custom materials for courses. Some of my summaries are written by a tool I'm building upon OpenAI's GPT language model. Summaries written by that tool, named Alex (as in the Great Library of Alexandria), are clearly identified in the footer of the summary. If there are no footers, then the summary is the work of yours truly....
