About meVoracious, vivacious, attention deficit defying book reader extraordinaire---that's me! I love old books for their musty, dusty, quaint, wise ole dog eared charm. They carry history and sometimes they still carry their previous owner with them through highlighted passages and cramped ink notes cozy between margins and spills and splatters and tears and folds and dust. Sometimes they were gifts, with lovely notes of dedication written in archaic cursive, For My One and Only---with love----and in that way a mortal moment becomes a snap shot in time, & love is made eternal, and passed through many hands, or maybe only a few like a hushed secret kept between a privileged few. When I acquire a wise old book from someones past life, I mean to keep it with me to death, or else pass on the gift to a friend or lover. Books are more than the tangible--past the cover, beyond the carbon paper and modest font and black ink, their lies a million stories, words can spin infinite possibilities...infinite different visions and perspectives, notions, expectations. I don't believe any one person reads words the same way, with the exact same vision projected in a minds eye. This is the uniqueness of the story, and yet their is equality to be found in stories as well, a great story always holds a universal theme, or several, and there is the part where people can relate and converse and debate over stories, holding the vehicle in which these stories are allowed to be passed, the tangible, physicality of a book.

About my libraryI have yet to add my whole collection, its always growing, such a hungry, swelling beast of love. Some of the stories and authors have had a powerful influence on my own desire to write and to be called a writer, such a priveleged title---like being called a poet. Sometimes, I don't believe I have earned it, and the same goes with being a book lover, a reader....its a dedicated passion that transcends the title of hobby. Writing, reading...its so much than that for me. Thanks for letting me spill my guts can clean the mess up:)
