About me« Dis moi ce que tu lis, je te dirai qui tu es. »

I'm passionate about everything I do, but I'm especially passionate about books and reading.
(Yes, that's me in the picture, but I have a better-looking helmet now, some 200 jumps later.)

« Elle médita sur les livres, elle compara les méthodes, elle augmenta démesurément la portée de son intelligence et l'étendue de son instruction, elle ouvrit ainsi la porte de son âme à la Curiosité. » (Balzac)

About my libraryMy home library consists mostly of novels, along with an extensive collection of dictionaries, grammar books, linguistics books and books on language.

I read a lot of fiction, but am trying to add more non-fiction into the mix.

"To build up a library is to create a life. It's never just a random collection of books."
(Carlos María Domínguez, The House of Paper)

"Even when reading is impossible, the presence of books acquired produces such an ecstasy that the buying of more books than one can read is nothing less than the soul reaching towards infinity... we cherish books even if unread, their mere presence exudes comfort, their ready access, reassurance."
(A. E. Newton)
