i was that kid who would rather read a book than go play with friends. i bet you were, too? now i'm that grown-up who works for a book publisher (production) and makes books and paper by hand. and who can not resist taking home some selections from the stacks of free books that appear at work, even though she already has dozens of volumes waiting to be read at home, and who is not allowed to go into a used book store again until she reads more of said un-read volumes. some of the books in my library might seem odd (confessions of a naughty mommmy? no, no kids)-- they are books i've designed covers and/or interiors for. i wish my library had more books like my early 1900 tolstoys-- someday!
