About meCurrently a first-year physical therapy grad student. Originally sought comfort in food, but of course that's not healthy. So back to the original comfort/distraction: reading!

About my libraryTechnically I now have two libraries: pleasure reading and school-related. I probably won't be listing any anatomy or therapeutic exercise books here, though ;)

But as my professional library grows, my enjoyable library has shrunk considerably in the last 5 years, due to having constantly moved, (mistakenly) thinking I outgrew certain books, and losing expendable income.

Non-fiction-wise, my favorite subjects are linguistics/language studies and world mythology, and I'm slowly dabbling in world religions. My favorite type of fiction can be historically based but doesn't necessarily include real people. I seem to enjoy dystopias and unreliable narrators.

In general, I like to read something of a more intellectual bent; my "brain candy" is Umberto Eco and Salman Rushdie. I tend to take things at their value, though, so I prefer a good story to lots of subtext and symbolism.
