About me“From an Otherwise Comfortable Room” is the result of my on-going interest in fine art, literature, philosophy, psychology and history. Over the years, my short stories and poems have been published in college literary magazines. I was awarded the English Department Award for Literary Merit for my short stories and the Sheaf Literary Award for my poetry. I have written numerous technical manuals for the IT industry, as well as lectured across the United States, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. I am not nearly as dry as all of this seems to make me. I am noted for being a humorous speaker.

About my libraryThe books I select represent modern and postmodern literature. I enjoy the turn from external reality to inner states that drawing on the stream of consciousness styles of Virginia Woolf and James Joyce, and the explorative style of T. S. Eliot. The more the works exploit the fragmentary style of these movements regarding narrative- and character-construction the better.
