About My Library

A whole lot of British fiction and sociology, especially related to housing, the field in which I work. Trying to expand my horizons and read more poetry, nonfiction, fantasy, and non-Western fiction.

If something in my library seems super anomalous, it's probably my husband's or something he's asked me to read. Our taste in books doesn't overlap very much except for in politics and children's books.

About Me

Native to both the American Rust Belt and Deep South, although to paraphrase Flannery O'Connor, where I come from is gone and where I thought I was going to was never there.

Interested in the domestic, in place attachment and lack thereof, names and etymology, fluffy comedy and detective fiction.

--

Looking for the fossilized, for something — persons and places thick and encrusted with final shape; instead there are many minnows wildly swimming, trembling, vigilant to escape the net.
