This is a book with multiple different stories within that are just fascinating. All of his life is inside this little book. Well nearly all of it. There was this one funny story about him making fun of other people with what they would do ruling the world and I loved it. At first I did not understand that it was satire, but it took me to page 75 to understand. So my first question: why is this book called “Let’s explore diabetes with owls” when it has nothing to do with diabetes or owls. Or even exploring. But that was my summarization of “Let’s explore diabetes with owls” I hope you enjoyed.

P.S. Mr. Poppe my reaction and summarization was in the same paragraph so can it still count as a good grade?

Roy was used to the new kid routine… kid comes to school, kid meets bully, kid meets fist, and on. But Dana Matherson was a different kind of vicious, but if Dana hadn’t been busy smashing Roy face in the window, Roy never would have seen the running boy. This was the start of an adventure full of owls, pancake companies, and drowsy policemen. Now let's go to the beginning. (Rewind Time) Roy was living the best of life, in Montana. Then there was the day… His father was promoted and they were forced to move to (drumroll) Florida. Now Roy was so unhappy that he was ready to run away when his mother found him crawling out the window. But this was not enough he was forced anyway to find adventure in Florida.

What an amazing story. I got found in this story because I was sitting in our guest room and I saw a book with an owl on its cover called hoot and it looked interesting so I started reading. Soon enough I got myself caught in a great story with a whole bunch of twists and turns, and it’s just mind boggling how horrible people can be to nature. But I just have to congratulate this author because there’s never been a book that I just didn’t stop reading. Every moment I had I just kept reading! Well, that’s that, see ya next time.

Best Wishes, -Mr. Spooky
That day everything changed. Let’s go back to the beginning. Rewind time! That day everyone was outside because it was happy new year's! There was reported to be a meteor shower at midnight so everybody was waiting. It was count down time, 30, 29, 28, everybody was excited, 23, 22, 21, the sky was flashing weird colors, 15, 14, 13, Was that a northern light, I can’t wait! 3, 2… suddenly the sky started exploding someone yelled, “Look away!” as everything turned black. Or that’s what I thought. It turned out after a while that the lights of the whole village were out. That’s when the adventure started. It was an adventure of hyenas, asylums, firebombs, and science teachers. This, was the beginning.

Wow, what a crazy story. I got caught in this story because we were on a road trip and I saw this on the floor of the car so I thought to myself, “what else do I have to do?” so I started reading. Soon enough I got myself caught in a great story with a whole bunch of twists and turns, and it’s just mind boggling how good of an idea this is. I couldn’t have done this. And that’s just surprising. And the asylum, *brrr* I never knew asylums were like that. These are just normal people. Well, maybe not to normal. But I just have to congratulate this author because there’s never been a book that I just didn’t stop reading. Every moment I had I just kept reading! Well, that’s that, see ya next time,
best wishes, -Mr. Spooky

The Quarter Quell is over. Katniss finds herself in a hospital room. She can’t tell what is real or not. Peeta is gone. She has started the revolution. That arrow… the force field?... gone. Everything is gone. She lives in 13, which was supposedly gone. She keeps repeating the same phrase: “My name is Katniss Everdeen, And my home is District 12.” She must become the Mockingjay. Once she has done that, she must fight, for the revolution, for her life. Peeta’s life. She goes on as Mockingjay, but it takes the lives of many people. It is her fault. But if the revolution works, those deaths will have mattered. Rue, Thresh, Clove, Cato, Cinna, and more uncountable people. All died, for the revolution. But what if the revolution isn’t what Katniss wanted? Like the death of a close person like... nevermind. But that arrow starts the beginning of a new era.

Whoa. that was a lot to take in because everything was happening at once. This is too much everyone is dying I want a happier ending. This is just so good it is taking my brain a little while to process this all. Poor Prim. Poor Finnick. He literally just got married. You can’t do that. Anyways that arrow was the symbolization of the new Panem the new era of Capitol and districts united. So much has happened I was just connected to Katniss in the story and I couldn’t get away. I felt what she felt. Except for the love story. I couldn’t understand that really much. But this was the most interesting experience show more I’ve ever been to. I hope you can enjoy it too. Bye Mockingjays.
Best Wishes, Mr. Spooky.

Alexander The Great was born in Macedonia. His father Philip was never supposed to be king since he wasn’t the oldest yet the oldest brother died which gave him the throne early. Philip married Olympias and they had a child named Alexander. Later know as Alexander The Great. When Alexander grew up Philip remarried but Olympias made sure Alex remained at her side no matter what. He had an older brother but still was determined to become king when his father died. When Alex was he got his 1st horse named Bucephalas worth 13 silver talents. Talents were 6000 drachmas worth, so a skilled hard worker could work 100 years and finally afford this horse. Philip refused but Alex tamed Buce (that’s what I’m calling him) and Buce only let Alex ride him until he was 30 when Buce was killed in battle. Alex personally led the funeral and later named a city after him.

I liked this book because it told me a bunch of facts about Alex. Stuff I didn’t know and wanted to know, “Boom!” right there in my face. I read the whole way through because I was very interested in what was happening. I especially liked Buce. I respected Alex for the deeds he did. It even had time to add some facts about Aristotle in there. I enjoyed this book I hope you do too!

The games were never easy to get over. But when Katniss finds President Snow in her living room everything changes. Katniss is told that the nightlock act had caused a sudden unexpected uprising. The districts saw it as an act of rebellion to the capitol. President Snow tells her that if she doesn’t convince them it was an act of love he will kill everyone she loves. Katniss and Peeta go on their victor’s tour to find that everything is true. The Quarter Quell is announced and Katniss is forced to go back into the games. The revolution is coming. And Katniss, is the mockingjay.

I love this trilogy. It has so much action and I always feel like I am connected to the characters and brought into their world. It is so fun to see them go along on the adventure, but there are also the sad moments. Poor Cinna, Poor Rue. Everything the capitol does is so angering and unfair, I feel like I’m part of the revolution. If America goes on like this I feel that this just might happen. Rich people will rule and poor people will suffer for them and work for them. Well, see ya later Mockingjays!
The story begins with John the Baptist preaching that Jesus is coming as Messiah to save people from their sin. His prophecy comes true as Jesus is born, by the virgin Mary. John the Baptist finally meets Jesus one day when Jesus visits and asks John to baptize him at the river. “Teacher, I shouldn’t be the one baptizing you; you should be baptizing me,” was John’s reply in the moment, but he did it anyway. Later on, Jesus told his disciples “Come follow me, I will make you fishers of men and women.” They went all over, preaching to people and healing others who had diseases until the Pharisees and Sadducees got so angry that he was sent to court to be crucified. He rose up from the dead in three days, and preached once more to his disciples, and left.

Being a christian, it is my religion to worship god and go to church. I honestly would have thought that the religious people of that time would have believed Jesus. It would seem that those who study the scriptures the most would have been the group of people who would follow Jesus the closest. But, instead he chose a poor group of fishermen to be his disciples. Jesus had said “Those who are first shall be last, and those who are last shall be first,” which meant that the wicked won’t prosper but the good will. Any other christians I know might be reading this. But for now it is for a grade. bye.
Johnis, Silvie, and Darsal are home, kind of. On returning home they have found that five years have passed. That means a lot of changes. The Horde have taken over middle and the citizens have either turned Horde, or escaped for freedom to the circle. Also the rules of the lake have been changed. The lakes are red with albino blood. If you want to live, you have to drown in the red lakes. Johnis, Silvie, and Darsal will have a hard time adapting to this new world as we follow along with this adventure.

This book was amazing. Much better plot, interesting twists, and great climax. I can’t believe though that the Roush have all just disappeared. They would have been great in this book, adding some light to the story. The plot triangle fit perfectly, everything was perfect. I really enjoyed this book and I hope you do too. Can’t spoil everything though can I?
Johnis and Silvie enter the Books of History. They end up ten years after Darsal and Karas enter. They steal a car, find Karas, also known as Kara Longford in this world called Los Angeles. They are all alone with abilities that no one else has. They are smarter, faster, stronger, and can jump higher. But it comes with consequences. Being smarter comes with mental health problems, Including betrayal, depression, and therapy. After Darsal’s betrayal, they finally get to go back home, to a new world, upcoming in Lunatic.

Chaos was a good book, but I honestly think it is too much action and adventure, less of anything I would honestly find fun. Not saying that the story line and characters weren’t great, it’s just that too much of one subject in a whole series, gets pretty boring quick. A story’s climax, I think, is pretty important to the story. And in this book, the climax didn’t really catch my attention. If you would’ve added some more cliffhangers, rising action, and surprises, it would’ve been great. Ted Dekker, your books are great, you just need to get my attention better. Work on that.

Percy Jackson is a normal kid...until now. Percy gets into a situation and now he has found out that the greek gods are real… and his dad is Poseidon. Then his mom gets kidnapped by Hades and he must stop his new enemies the titans from rising. He discovers he can control water, and he makes powerful new friends. He has many great adventures with him and his demigod friends to stop the titans.
This book was great. I recommend this book to you other readers. It was such a good fictional story it gave a good story how the fictional world of Greek mythology is real and in modern times today. Hey people you should really read this book, it’s a very good book, and everyone else who read it really liked it, and I’m trying to share it with everybody. You should read this book along with all the other books Rick Riordan wrote, they’re all good books. You should read them.
The Burning Maze is the third book of the Trials of Apollo series by Rick Riordan. It focuses on Apollo, the god of the Sun, being cast down from Olympus to Earth as a mere mortal. During this year long trial as a human, he is accompanied by a twelve year-old companion named Meg. The pair bravely face the evil Emperor Caligula and defeat Medea with Helios, the first titan god of the sun before Apollo. Just like every other Riordan book, this one ends with a cliffhanger. They release the sybil of Erythraea and flee from Caligula and then get caught and Jason Grace dies by a spear to the heart.
I have read every one of the novels that Rick Riordan has written and this installment of Trials of Apollo is just like the rest--fine suspenseful writing with cliffhangers at the end of every book to keep you going like a train that has no breaks. The most exciting part of the book is when the heroes Apollo and Meg release the sybil because Riordan expertly builds up to the moment. The most disappointing part of the novel is when Jason dies. Riordan broke up the ultimate duo, Percy and Jason! I would recommend this book because it is well-written with lots of suspense and satisfying descriptions. Riordan is my favorite author. #RiordanBro
The Gospel of Matthew contains 28 chapters, detailing the birth, life, ministry, death, resurrection, of a Jewish rabbi named Jesus of Nazareth. The book begins with Jesus’s family tree, going all the way back to Abraham. Chapters 5-7 are a retelling of Jesus’s most famous sermon, called “The Sermon On The Mount.” Jesus used miracles, riddles, and parables to teach people what god the father is really like, and he often challenged the religious leaders of his day, which made them very angry. He even went into the temple of Jerusalem during the Passover celebration and flipped the tables of those who were turning a profit there. Just as Jesus prophesied to his disciples, he was delivered up to the Roman government, beaten, spat upon, humiliated, and finally crucified. Three days later, also as Jesus foretold, he was resurrected from the dead, and returned to commission his disciples a final mission at the end of the book of Matthew.

It’s not easy to read 28 chapters of a nonfiction book in one sitting. But my mom forced me to. So here’s my opinion: The book of Matthew was a very religious book. So all you atheists out there might not be so interested in my opinion on a book in the Bible. I liked the book of Matthew because it had no cliffhangers. It told the whole story. It was easier to understand than the older translations I have read because it did not talketh like thou doth before. My favorite part was when Jesus predicted his own death and resurrection show more secretly years before it happened. show less
