We had to read a short story in school, Eveline. I haven't read the whole book, but if everything is written somehow written like Eveline, then it should be an original collection of short stories.
I guess this book has a lot of symbolical meaning but we barely scraped the surface of it in our English lessons. For analysing, this book has a lot to offer and is still relevant. As an overall story, it is rather boring.
Don't mind intellectual people who say Edwards Albee's play should be on your reading list. If you want to have fun while reading and avoid a high cholesterol level, you might read something else
