An inspiring book that is full of inspiration to help. I really enjoyed reading the stories in this book. I found them to be pertinent to the material and positive. It was a good read.
Oh, such a very interesting installment in the series. I loved this one. We get a deeper look into Sarge's past. I loved the writing. The scfi elements really pull things together. The characters are again very fascinating. I found myself pulled right back into the universe of Sarge again and it was such a good read.
This was an anthology of short stories that nicely ties up the REWIND series. Coming in having never read the series, I am a little behind but the author does give a list on who's who and belongs with who. The stories are separate from each other but do tie in together nicely. There is a levelof steam withh this romance. The characters are unique and I found them to be well thought out and developed. I think this will be a great book for fans fo the REWIND series.
This is book 4 of the series. It is the prequel and it is amazing people. This is one of the best dystopian series out there. It's original, thought-provoking and in my opinion, one of the best written. I find the writing in the single POV to be best for this story because it is Christina, who is Willow's mom. We get to see hoiw she grew up. She had some challenges and this came right before the "plague" hit. The book is engaging. I guarantee that you won't want to put it down. You will be sucked into wanting to know w2hat's coming up next. Christina and the Frat Pack will take you on an adventure that you won't forget. This book had me feeling all the emotions and gave me a new peerspective into both Willow's mom. Yep, you need to read this.
Another fantastic installment in this series! I came away feeling like I'd been on an emotional ride. The adventure was to fix a reputation. That was a heck of a fun ride. I do love it when a wild man is tamed. This author never fails to entertain and toss in a few twists. It is always an exciting adventured to read her stories because I know to buckle up for the ride.
I really like the start to this series. Atlantis has always fascinated me. The whole concept of this story has been both fascinating and intriguing. To have a fountain of youth approach drew me in. Where do I find this door. I was drawn in right from the start. I thought the writing was good. The research done was quite good. The characters are fascinating. I can't wait to read the next book.
I fell in love with this contemporary romance. I'm a sucker for a couple dealing with a painful past that they have to get over. The strength it takes to make a go is worth reading. I found their chemistry to be exciting. The story is entertaining and got a few giggles out of me. It is engaging and the characters are relatable. The one thing I can always enjoy in this author's books is the fact that her characters are so unique and so very relatable. Another winner in my book. I recommend this one.
Oh my goodness, this one worked all emotions. Both heartbreaking and heartwarming, this story will take you on a journey of two hearts that work their way back to each other. The writing is beautiful and you can feel the passion and love and pain in the writing. The characters are very well-written. I was so into this one. My kindle app was glued to my hand. A beautiful story that needs to be read.
It’s time for the PBJ at the zoo. Our friend, the monkey server, takes us around the zoo to tell us what the animals prefer on their sandwiches. I found this to be quite the entertaining story. It’s done in a fun rhyming rhythm. The Illustrations are bright and colorful. This is a story that will catch children’s attention. It’s fun for the little ones right on us to the ones reading it to them It would be a wonderful addition to the family library.
I loved this story. Alexa is working through some prior issues from the past. Miles is learning about fated mates. Together they seem to somehow be making this work. the people around them seemed to be supportive. I am guilty of the little chuckle when you go to bed with a human and you wake up the next morning to literal dog breath. I love how this author writes because you get so involved in the story right from the start. It's a really intriguing story that kept me so into it that I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read Mason's story. I want to read more about about this pack. Maybe we can have Derek's story?
This is easily the best YA/Dystopian book I've ever read. With scenes reminiscent of Red Dawn and a story relevant to today's crazy world, this story will have you devouring it all the way through. With the exception of a few moments of life interrupting, I couldn't put the book down. I had been in a book slump until I found this series. This book is exciting and gets your blood pumping again. 17-year-old Willow has only known the government ruled society. Her parents get the family away from there and out to Crow country. She has some taste of freedom, even though there are still judgy people. Come on, we all know that there are always judgy people around. After an attack by the Dominion (government), Willow has hard choices to make. I loved how R.A. sets up the story for the rest of the series. Even though things are quite perfect, there is a possibility of romance for Willow with Finn. Willow gets to learn more about who she is, who she wants to be. I can't wait to get started on book 2. This is an amazing series. You should definitely read it. I've read all the others and it's better than Hunger games or Divergent. Yes, I said it.
I absolutely adore the Cupid series. Seraphina had me chuckling. She’s a little grumpy because she’s stuck with Josh again. She’s tried twice to match him to no avail. Maybe the third time will be the charm. I found this story quite entertaining. You felt like you were right there, whether it was with Seraphina, Seth, or Marron. It’s humorous and serious at the same time. As a society, there is a fascination with celebrities. We want to see and imagine what it’s like to have what they have. I enjoyed this story because it fed that fascination. Seraphina brings together two people with their own sets of issues and it somehow all worked out fine after some guided adventures. It can be read as a standalone. I recommend the whole series. They are all wonderful.
What a beautiful love story. Two people heading out West with basically their faith in God. I found this a wonderful story with it’s faith intertwined in the story. Dorothy and Elias are both strong characters that go through a lot and come together in this beautiful story. I love strong writing that is big on faith and inspirational. Those are two items found in this story. Elias does a lot of preparation for this trip to make sure it his calling. Dorothy kind of flew by the seat of her pants, not by her choice. The story showed us that God works in miraculous ways. I recommend this one.
There are some truly entertaining tales found in this book. I found alien tales to paranormal. There's a little of everything. I loved them all because they made me chuckle. It was the perfect read to start the holiday season off with. It isn't something I would normally have picked up and I am truly glad that the book was recommended to me. I am now recommending it to romance lovers out there. It's a wonderful holiday read full of short romance reads that are perfect to fill time whether you're at home or maybe waiting at an appointment, etc. Go ahead, hit that One-Click, you won't be sorry.
Well, this was an expected romantic treat. I thought Claire was just another spoiled celebrity when I started this. It turns out that there is fa more to her than people give her credit for, even her family. She has multiple degrees and is a pretty smart cookie. One night at dinner with Candie, she meets Nick. He’s cute, also a smarty guy. He’s very creative and an artist. These two are from two different sides of the track. Watching this develop was painful at times but necessary to the story. It kind of felt like “don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” I enjoyed the story because you did get to see them grow up and mature into what they wanted, forget the paparazzi.. I felt the characters were fairly well-developed. The storyline was good.
Wow! I really enjoyed this book. It truly pulled on Caitlin and Gio's relationship. Caitlin went through getting married, starting an Ambassadorship, becoming a parent. She was basically dealing with becoming an adult and dealing with those issues that life can through at us, only more. I felt sorry for her because it felt like she had so much piled on top of her. Gio just wanted to love and take care of her. She would tend to push him away. I love how Illy helped her to deal with those issues after a catastrophic event. This book is intense, a little traumatic in parts but also very good. I couldn't put it down. I was in it for the long haul. Life kept getting in my way but I"d pick up the story again. I did love catching up with familiar faces. I do have to say that as for Francesca, I go with Gio's vote. I can't wait for the next book to see where here new position takes her. New things are still in store for Gio and Caitlin and I can't wait.
Jorja Knight always makes for a fantastic read. She is an investigator I thoroughly enjoy reading. In this story, she's in Istanbul and her bestie, Gabs, is missing. The author does a wonderful job of taking us on a mysterious adventure through the city. Jorja is following every lead she can. I don't know how she's not creeped out when her room is gone through. There are twists and turns through the story along with colorful characters that makes this an amazing adventure. A story I definitely recommend for mystery lovers.
This is a neat book filled with affirmations for the Asian boy. The illustrations are colorful. The affirmations are positive and focus on doing good things. Honestly, these are affirmations that all boys need to be told. This is a wonderful book that will be a good addition to any family library.
This is a fascinating start to this series. We are always hearing about climate change, saving the earth, etc. I loved how this story took the theme and ran with it from the point of the earth talking through special people telling how to save her. This is a story that will grab you. It has some SciFi, some romance, some suspense. I found it kind of exciting all around. I couldn't put it down. I'm excited to see that there are more to the series. I have to see where this goes.
Shadowed Obsession: An Action-Packed Romantic Suspense Thriller (Shadow Defense Security Series Book 1) by Mavery Ellscott
Holy moses, this book was a tad creepy. I had a stalker experience so it was a little triggering but I finished it. Keira is a strong woman that really tries to keep it together during this whole thing. Cade is a guy that’s been hurt. The chemistry is there but because of the pain they just have to see it. They do have to work through things. This book is book 1 of the series and it is great. The intensity and suspense is off the charts. I’m tooling along reading thinking I’m knowing who the culprit is and then, pow!, plot twist. The author does a great job of keeping the action flowing the romance brewing and the suspense stewing. Again, this is one of the best romantic suspense series that I’ve read this year.
Shadowed Agenda: An Enemies to Lovers Action-Packed Romantic Suspense Thriller (Shadow Defense Security Series Book 2) by Mavery Ellscott
This is one of the best romantic suspense I’ve read this year. From the moment I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. Regan thinks she’s just doing a book tour with Pavlo. Little does she know that her so-called “friend/publicist” Isla, has set her up for danger. This journey is full of twists, turns, deceit, and lies. I fell in love with this story because it’s fast-paced. The action and romance is nonstop. The chemistry between Pavlo and Regan is really good and ready to combust if people would stop knocking on the door. I enjoyed watching the chemistry and denial between Finlay and Drake develop. I would love to see a story their. Those two are in serious denial. This is a great story that I couldn’t get enough of.
It just keeps getting better and better. Mikayla learned about familiars in this book. She meets her grandmother. You'll have to read the story to find out what happens. A lot of questions and some are answered. The adventure is still absolutely wonderful. Some of her friends part ways. Griffin is still in the picture and I'm waiting for the answer to that mystery. This is a wonderful paranormal series that is a must read. I can't wait for book 5 to come out.
Murky Murder: An Utterly Addictive Cozy Murder Mystery (A Maid Ivy Cozy Mystery Book) by Hazel Smith
This was an interesting cozy. Ivy is a very optimistic person. It's all going good for her and she believes it's going to get better. Meanwhile, threats are coming in. I enjoyed the story. It really is quite entertaining. The dogs are colorful characters. Ivy and her friends kept the story colorful and engaging. I wanted to follow them as they tried to figure out what was going on. I was not a superfan of her boss. He's a little sexist. Overall, great read, I'm going to read more of this series.
Quick Affirmations for Children: A to Z of Easy Motivations for Creating Better days - Positive Affirmations for Happy Children by Ann Kim
What a cool book! I wish they had books like this when I was littler or even when my kids where smaller. Just the bite size affirmations such as “I am focused on my day!” can make a difference to a child’s outlook. These affirmations are full of life, hope, and joy. It makes you smile reading them. The pages illustrations are bright and colorful. They jump out at you and just bring life and happiness. This will be a great gift for my grandchildren.
What an absolutely beautiful journal. The illustrations within are light and airy in beaufitully done pastel colors. She gives lines for journaling. She also gives wonderful journal prompts to help kick start your writing. This is a wonderful resource.
Dingo and Celee's story is quite the page-turner. She's on the run from her mob-related family. He and the Grimm wolves are trying to protect her. This adventure started in Texas and the "fun" just kept rolling in. Shootings, bombs, "gifts" left at Fury's fence and other items made for quite the unpredicatable story. Let's say that Karma, the tech guy, earned his keep in this story. Watching Dingo and Celee try to work through the baggage they brought to the relationship in order to make their relationship work really had you rooting for them. They both have good hearts. It was great to see how that developed. I love watching the Grimm Wolves kick butt. Familiar faces chimed in. Fury placyed a large role taking over while Brick and Emmie had the triplets. Shadow and her men come down to help. Many other wonderful items show up. Chains and his family show up. I enjoyed seeing the snippets of the whole gang. This is a book you really should read. The whole series is wonderfully good and well worth reading. It' sone of my favorites. This author writes in a way that will have you diving in and not coming up for air until the story is over. I only came up to write the review because the story is over and I'll be here eagerly awaiting the next one.....
Laramie and Trigger's story was a definite heart gripper. You could feel the chemistry with these two before the mating call gripped them. The story had me right from the beginning. You could tell right off the bat that his stepdad, Leonard, was up to something. That guy was a piece of work. I found the story was really gripping with Laramie trying to decide if he was who he said. Trigger was trying to figure out what to do. He didn't get to have a pride to grow up with. This such a good series. It is that way because the author gives suchh a long time between books. I don't mind anticipating because they are so worth it. Laramie's family is traditional. I can't wait to see who gets blessed to mate with Sheridan. Afton seems pretty chill. I'm excited to see his story. He's next. However, I digress, back to Laramie and Trigger, watching their relationship develop almost makes you tear up. They go through the good, bad and the ugly. Evenn the crappy dad, Casper makes an appearance. A phenomenal story and series that you really should read. .
This is a very interesting story. Getting the backstory to Sarge was quite intriguing. I do have to have say that I was lost a couple times but did come back to the trail. The love story was well-written. Finding a beautiful woman unconscious and rescuing her is most mens dream. It's a story that may send me to read Mission 3047 again. The story will have you thinking. It's a good story with lots of adventure and a bit of romance.
I have been a fan of this series from the start. This has been my favorite by far. The drama and action are there. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. They need to admit it it's there. I had to laugh when they can say they are each other's weaknesses. I enjoyed watching the relationship develop as they worked through issues. I always enjoy seeing faces from the previous books pop into the story. I find that keeps the continuity going. I love the characters. They were so relatable. I felt like I was right there among them. I love this author's style of writing. It's real and down to earth. Excellent read. You should read the whole series.
This was a very good book about a little girl who worries alot. I have a little boy who worries a lot and is learning to deal with it. He loves carrying around a stuffed dinosaur. He sat and listened to this story. He's not a fan of breathing methods yet but I hope reading stories like this will help him. I liked the fact that Lilly was like a real child. She wasn't instantly cured. Her worries came back throughout the day and she would work on dealing with them with the methods she was taught (since Hun Bun was at home). Even when she got home, she had to deal with Hun Bun needing a bath. A wonderful story that will be added to our home library.
