it reminded me of my grandma's town. the beginning caught me, not to mention that the mere synopsis alone made me interested in the book – but as i went on, the reflections became cloying; even the dialogue, with hidden messages layered beneath a tongue-in-cheek surface, felt childish. it felt ambiguous. i just wanted to finish reading the book just to finish it.
this will definitely... maybe, become one of my comfort books. Maybe Whatever Yes Sure Fine Yes Whatever Sure. i've never felt so –ironically– homey reading a book. almost highlighted the entirety of it. but, the emptiness, unknowingness that left me :-(
boring, and unsatisfying. which, is not necessarily horrible – but it is a very predictable story. and oh how i love romance stories, but definitely not this one. despite that, it was fun to read! it is easy to identify with a passage in the book. highlighted many phrases
