Where are you in Fantasy Land: November 2010

I've travelled through the lands of the Galayi on Turtle Island (Zadayi Red) the past few days and I'll be visiting Sitia (Spy Glass) next.

In London running for my life and hunting for the missing Kraken, in China Miéville's latest wonderfully weird, dark novel.

I haven't been reading much lately. Don't know why. Can't seem to get my hands on a book even though there is 500 books I need to read.

I'm re-reading Good Omens and am about 3/4 of the way through Kill the Dead, the sequel to Sandman Slim.

I've been hanging out in New York, on the Farm, and in the Homelands with the Fables. Fantastic reads!

After leaving Sitia, I made a stop visiting Asgard to hear The Prose Edda and then teamed up with Miku and Cait to face Takeshita Demons.

Lost, and unable to find a book I want to read...

Discovering the Seven Satrapies in The Black Prism - using colours as a plot device seems to be popular at the moment (see Jasper Fforde).

Just left the Wheel of Time and finished The Gathering Storm, at the same time I'm re-reading Kushiel's Dart.

Most of the way through The Magician's Apprentice. Ought to have it finished in the next week or two, then it's on to Guards! Guards!.

Just gone back to Rand-land having made a start on The Gathering Storm.

Recently returned from visiting Shalador's Lady with Anne Bishop. Just finished a quick jaunt to the South with Jennifer Estep to help the Spider deal with a Web of Lies. Next I'm off to Columbus, Washington to find out about Waking the Witch.

Revisiting the Nac Mac Feegle in The Wee Free Men for the umpteenth time in preparation for going home for winter break, where I have I Shall Wear Midnight on hold at the library!

I was in an alternative London in The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack, a new alternative history steampunk UF by Mark Hodder. It feels like he tries to do too much with a more fantastical and convoluted plot than might have been necessary, but the writing was good and the book was very interesting.

I'm reading The Zombies of Lake Woebegotten, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Had to do a reread of the Deathly Hallows after seeing the film.

I am reading Servant of the Underworld by Aliette de Bodard. Aztec setting, magic, evil gods, mystery.

Now I'm reading Kill the Dead.

I'm beginning a journey with the sage Wynn, reading of her exploits in the book In Shade and Shadow by Barb & J. C. Hendee in their Noble Dead series, love them all so far.

Just left Darujihistan in Toll the Hounds. Now starting Kraken ...

I have some Side Jobs to do.
