Newb Questions

I've just joined BookCrossing and have several questions. Sorry, I should probably spend some time poring over the BC site, but this LT site is so much fun!

The concept of dropping books around public places, seems so, uhm, passive. Are BookCrossing titles mailed to those BC members who specifically want them? Or, is that really just the niche of BookMooch and PaperBackSwap.

Well, I just went over to the Newbie forum and got an answer to my question. I'll leave this thread as-is, in the hopes that others have questions.
