I thought I would take a stab at this challenge. Last year I read about 25 books, but 35 the year before. I already read two books this year (one on my Android phone!). Otherwise, one of my goals is to read a small stack of books that have been given to me over the last 3 years that I never got around to reading.
1. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
2. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (this one I read on the phone - free book downloaded from gutenberg.org)

"this one I read on the phone"
First thing I thought was, "That must have taken a lot of dimes." Good grief, I am old and out of it!
Good luck with your challenge!

Lol, thx
That book is 1200 pages on the Android phone, too. Does that count as two books that way?

You've started off the year with two of my favorites! What did you think of Never Let me Go? I was really blown away by it. There was something about the tone of the novel that really set the perfect mood for the creepiness of the story.

I thought it was pretty good. It was definitely creepy, and sad. It wasn't really what I expected, since it focused mostly on their humanity, and not on technology. I think it's best not to think about the technology aspect of it, because then it begins to not make sense.

I'm overdosing on Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series right now, and have read Books 6 - 13 in 4 weeks. I read the first 5 books several years ago, and suddenly got motivated to read the rest!
