For those of you who are puzzled by this group, this is kind of a migration from a thread about books on

Topics will be slightly moderated by me and whoever else winds up being an Admin.

Posting as Lady Syrus on ManBoobz, Ysmene here.

I've never used this, how does it work?

You basically list all nine billion (okay that is my collection) books that you own/read/want/wish for and then we can post on here books we have read and whatever else wanders into our heads.

And if we want to have a group discussion about a particular book, a topic could be made and it could be discussed.

Yay! Thanks for organizing this (do you prefer DorkTV or Poster or Elizabeth?)! I'm femalespectator over on Manboobz:)

Either Dorktv, Poster or Beth is fine.

Lurker and infrequent commenter saoba here. Am halfway through Deadline the second book by Mira Grant. Following which I am going to dive in to a second read through of 'Welcome To Bordertown' .My favorite shared world anthology series reactivated with some of the old crew and some new hotshot writers and it is splendid.

What is Welcome to Bordertown about?

So cool to have a group like this. I've been quite a reader lately, but this could help me discover new things.

Hey thanks for starting this Beth! I'm pretty much a lurker on manboobz but I couldn't pass up a good feminist literary group! Hope nobody minds that I'm kind of crashing in here.

Jun 4, 2011, 8:52pm

why would we mind? This is an open group until the trolls get out of control.

Hey, y'all! Should we start a thread on Naipaul given his recent comments about female authors? Has anyone read any of his work (I haven't)?

Another mostly-lurker here, just "Cactuar" on manboobz. Hello! and more thanks for getting this started ^^

Jun 9, 2011, 6:18pm

Hello! I'm mostly a lurker at Manboobz, too, but am always looking for good books to read. Thanks for starting the group!

Another lurker surfacing here, but this seemed too good to stay under the surface for. Looking forward to getting some good new books to read!
