You walk in and stare around in wonder. The walls are a mysterious blue, that seem to go on forever. The floor is a dark wood color, with shining silver footprints. Alisha's cat, Isis, is curled up in her plush bed on a bookshelf. In letter made of bubbles, ALISHA, is written, right above a large desk, they pop and start all over again blowing up like balloons. The desk is a dark chocolate-brown, with papers neatly stacked in piles. While books float from bookshelf to bookshelf. Pictures and posters are everywhere. Mostly of previous headmasters, but some are of animals, like tigers, hippogriffs, and a phoenix. The room never seems to end. You take a seat in one of the large, comfortable chairs, and wait for Alisha to see you.
Head mistress, would you like the current HoHs to create the common rooms?
What a lovely office... As discussed we remain in our houses? Have u officially appointed Gryf's new HoH? Looking forward to our school!

#3 - Yes I was thinking we would go down the list from the other group. Which would make Sarahy the new Gryffindor HoH, and you would be the Gryffindor prefect, unless sarahy doesn't want to be HoH, then you would be the HoH for Gryffindor. Is that okay?

Find out if Beatles what to be the HoH, if she doesn't then talk to neica, if she doesn't then she you can be HoH for Hufflepuff.

We should make a thread for Quidditch, I'm not sure how we go about "playing" qudditch but I'm sure we can figure out a way to do it.
As for Slytherin common room, we should get Oriental Cherry of one of the other Slytheirns to make it.
Throw around some ideas in the Great Hall about Quidditch and when we come to agreement on it then we can make the thread for it. Sound good?
Alisha - I am noticing people being sorted but not being members? Do they know they have to join???
another question- do points get added to a house when a new person (not from the old group) gets sorted into the house? i thought someone said that a long time ago....

Head Mistress, I was wondering if you'd Please post the current Standings of the Houses by Points. Your office seems to go on and on forever. I love what you've done with it. Where can we go to find out the latest Points Standings?
Beatles - I had suggested a point thread - not where we get them just where we list them - so each head of house would update points as their house received them... it would be the most current up to date - however I have noticed that some HoH's list their points on their common room at the top which is nice as well... Has anyone set the deadline for the "school year/House Cup" award??? When we would then reset the points I suppose.
How about I set up that point thread and I can maybe suggest the end of the year for the awarding of house cup.
If the HoH's please make sure that you are keeping track of your house points...I will be coming around to check on them.
I do keep Hufflepuffs Points up-to-date all the time. I was just wondering if there was any
place in particular we could go to check up on each other and see where we stood in the
rankings for the House Cup.
Maybe our beautiful Head Mistress willl give us Permission to have races on Broomsticks and we all receive Points for the order the Houses finish in and possisbly even have some Hippogriff races where we can also earn Points too. Maybe even have some contests between the four Houses where we use the Wands at targets.
And maybe we could even have a Hogwarts version of Olympic contests with all 4 Houses getting Points they earned for the
order they finshed the contest in. Of course our beautiful, wonderful, generous, kind, loving Head Mistress would be the Judge
for everything and award the Points to all of the Houses. The best Head Mistress that Hogwarts has ever had.
That sounds like a great idea Beatles. You guys can do the Hippogriff and broomstick races over at the Quidditch pitch. Definitely can pass points off of the order in the winnings.
We need to get more Slytherin students in here.
Roll of a dice (with everyone being honest about their numbers), or I can pick a number and whoever is the closest gets the points for their house, etc. We just have to figure that out.
i like the number one because it forces everyone to b honest. not that i dont trust everyone but still...... those slytherins.... hahaha just kidding!
Headmistress, I just want to report that i've already made the Slytherin common room. I don't want to name myself HoH yet. I need more Slyths and maybe we can decide among ourselves. I like the idea of rolling the dice myself. Everyone has some dice laying around some place.
I'll bring mine in on Monday and we could start then. I agree of course with the Head Mistress
that everyone is gonna be on the Honour System to be truthful about the numbers they roll.
So will we have some kind of order who goes first? Maybe to be fair we should let Slytherin
go first since they don't have any Points.

I think the dice is a good idea but to roll at the same time I think would be difficult with the time differences and stuff...example im lurking about at 12 am whre you might read this at 12 pm. Not trying to be negative or anything just pointing it out.
That's fine with me too. So how do we start it? I mean do we all roll the dice at the same exact time? Does someone send a flare up from their Wand? Or is there another system for being able to do this?

I think it will be for the Broomstick races and then later on Quidditch unless other people would rather do Quidditch first. I'm ok whichever way other people want to go with this.

Headmistress, maybe we should make a Hogwarts Code of Conduct where rules and laws should be written. That way, students will have the idea of what are the basic do's and dont's here in Hogwarts. Maybe the HoHs should also make their own specific house rules.
can we have like names for characters.... it's weird discussing what were going to do and stuff....
headmistress, i believe that on the last group, it was said that when we made it to 20 members, we would start classes. we are currently at 21.

Re: #93 -- It's spam. If you click "more" under the message, then click "Flag," you can flag it. When enough members have flagged it, it will be suppressed. No way to get rid of it permanently, I'm afraid -- but I see that LT staff have already been notified that the user is a spammer, and they have dealt with it. Meanwhile, best just to flag, then ignore it, I think.
Thank you Foggi, I have done just that, and I have blocked the user as well. So hopefully no more of that.

As for any special occasions and the Yule Ball we will worry about that when it gets closer. Right now we are trying to focus on getting members to get the classes started, and such.

That is fine! Beatles, you are the Head of House for Hufflepuff and therefore you are the one who makes the decisions that will best suit the needs or wants of your house and house mates. Since you are Head of House, they look to you for guidance remember that. I believe part of Head of house is to ensure that your house isn't out of control but at the same time, you have to do what you feel is right for your house.

Can we award the points for the library first year poetry contest into the second term. We still haven't officially had a winner yet so I think that would be the best solution.

I was wondering if i could have permission to set up a scavenger hunt for the whole group? it would use the same system as gryffindor's last semester, but since we have a shortage of students, this is easier than doing it house by house.
i would like your advice on how many points it should be worth. because i believe that the new points system has us not allowed to give more than 50 at a time, but i thought that maybe 100 would be OK because this would be group-wide. please let me know. thanks!

headmistress, i beleive that a long time ago we were having a problem of people being sorted, but not joining.... you can change the group settings so that you must join to post... just a random thought i came up with in between dreams at like 2 o clock this morning ;)
I have a problem in the library. How many points shoul I add to slytherin for winning the contest, and do I get an extra point for an entry??

headmistress, how are we counting years? two semesters? because some classes say "required for 1st years only" or something, so how will we know what year we are? will i be a second-year at the end of the second semester?
Then aren't prefects in every year fifth and above with a head boy and girl? So aren't we already not following years?
i thought of that too... but how would we be more than just first or second years if this group is still fairly new and we've only had one semester?
right? and ive been with this group since Alisha created it for our "fresh start" when Tabby disappeared, and i have only had like one and a quarter semesters...
another question for the headmistress (poor alisha)- can i do a report card for each of my students to be handed out at the end of the semester?
No worries on the questions Sarahy, and I agree we don't necessarily need a "year" we can just play it by ear, but I will grant you the report card for students. You could do a post within your classroom for it.

I am not a HoH - but I don't think we should remove ppl - ppl are busy they have things they have to do - if they joined then they were interested - if I came back after having been away and was removed I don't think I would be interested. I guess my quesition is - what is the harm in them staying in the group?
I saw that someone else said they had been kicked out? How does that happen?
#170 - I say just let them stay in the group, because you never know when they will have the time and they could be active when they have free time.

I have 2 people who are not members and were sorted and I feel like its kinda pointless to have them and I have invited them both multiple weeks ago to the group.

My decisions on these two matters.
1.) For the DobbytheHouseElf issue of being allowed to being sorted. We have to treat him/her as if they were another username wanted to be sorted into the group, even given the name. Dobby will be sorted.
2.) As for people creating multiple usernames to join the group. Since there is no rule against it, I'm going to allow with the condition that those who make the extra usernames for the group keep up with them on a regular basis.
Now go on back to your studies, and friends *waves hands to get students to leave the office*

headmistress, i have a question and a proposal.
question: when does this semester end?
proposal/random thought/idea: we should allow students the option of whether or not to continue the classes that they are in at the end/beginning of each semester.
The semester will end December 1st, and house cup is rewarded on the 2nd.
Please elaborate on your proposal.
Headmistress i think we should take off the rule where you have to name your least favorite house in the sorting hat.
i think that students should be allowed to decide what classes they would like to keep and what classes they would like to drop at the end of the semester. for instance, if they thought that i (charms class) had too much homework or didnt think that they were learning much, then they could drop charms.
i just think that having that option would be nice.
or, we could have classes required for students that have (for example) not yet completed one semester. perhaps they have to take potions, but care of magical creatures is optional. just a thought.

As for taking the rule off about the least favorite house? It's just a question that I put so that if there is a certain they don't like or don't want to be in then I can put them in one of the other 3 houses when sorting.
it's better to say least favorite than favorite-right? if they say their favorite, then don't get sorted into it, then they are sad. least favorite means that they would settle for any of the other 3.
Besides if people were allowed to be Sorted in their favourite Houses more people would
go into either Gryffindor or "shudders" Slytherin.
"Knock, Knock" Can we Please come in Head Mistress??? ErisofDiscrd & I are having a friendly disagreement about whether or not
I can hand out points to the Puffs who have been earning a lot of points for us recently. We both agree that we'd abide by your decision. I would like to be able to this so that I & the other HoH's can give out points to our people who we feel are deserving. Maybe we can even agree to a maximum amount of points that can be handed out to our people when we do this in the future. And maybe if it's allowed we can call it The Hufflepuffs Reward System or The Hufflepuffs Reward for Scoring Points System. Well, Head Mistress we await your decision. Thanks for listening to us. If I had a very large ego I'd want to call it The Beatles1964 Reward for Scoring Points System but since I don't and I'm not the only Hufflepuff in the House we can call it The Hufflepuffs Reward for Scoring Points System or maybe even something entirely different. Just as long as it is named after Hufflepuff, of course.
Beatles I don't think the 20 points is okay. Just because I got points in the past doesn't mean I should just get free points now. I think your just giving Puff points so we can win. That's not fair to the other houses. Also, now all the other HoH are gonna do the same thing putting them in the lead.
Well Fob35 you & GinnyW haven't officially gotten the points yet. I just wanted to show you all I appreciate all the hard
work you've done earning Puff points. I guess maybe I should think about dropping it. :( I know you're right about the
other HoHs wanting to do the exact same thing for their Houses too. I guess I should tell ErisofDiscord & the Head Mistress
that I'll drop it. Also Fob35, I have to admit that you're right about my motive for doing it BUT like I said I did want to reward
you all too. Maybe I can reward you all in another way. :) Any suggestions????
