She's more of an outdoor kinda girl, not a serious reader, but her interest was piqued by experience.

After her adventure, she picked up a copy of The Unknown Darkness: Profiling the Predators Among Us and Fodor's How to Take a Road Trip.

Of course there is A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson (except I've forgotten how to get Touchstones to display the Bryson title instead of Blessing's; but perhaps Red wanted a script of the play too).

Her Mom now owns How to Be the Parents of Happy And Obedient Children by Roy Lessin.

oh, and Boot Camp by Todd Strasser.

Her mother must have had Wild Animals of Britain and Europe (Collins Nature Guides) so that she could remind Red not to dawdle on the way to her gran's. But I doubt that Red actually read it before she set out.
