Merry Christmas everyone!

I'd like to jump back in to Librarything with this challenge if I may. I have spent the last year working the old butt off with little reading and am now getting back to my favourite activity and my favourite website.

The categories I've chosen are as follows:

1. La Vie En Rose - books in French, about France and the French
2. Me, Myself & I - memoirs, journals and the like
3. Something Wicked This Way Comes - mystery, thrillers, crime, horror
4. Meet Me At The Barre - ballet and other dance forms
5. Just the Facts Ma'am - non-fiction
6. Bury Me In the Library - books on books and writing
7. White Crane Spreads Its Wings - Tai Chi, Yoga and Buddhism
8. Ad Astra - science fiction
9. Once Upon A Time - fantasy, fairy tales, children and YA
10. Everything Old is New Again - classics (at least one by Shakespeare)
11. Purrs & Fleurs - nature, wildlife and pets
12. Watch This Space - anything else

Am aiming for a minimum of four per category - hope to do a lot more. Categories are subject to change.

My rules:

1. Try to make all choices from my TBR pile.
2. Five books out = one book in (otherwise, I will have to start sleeping in the garden and just turn the house into one big bookcase).

Good luck on your challenge. Nice categories.

With each passing year we get pickier and pickier about books actually bought and most reads come from the public library. (Our house is already one big bookcase!)

Thanks hailelib. Unfortunately the library system here is not very good.

The bookshelves on your page photo have me green with envy!

Great categories. I'll be interested in watching your thread. It's a bit depressing and probably not on your shelves, but Nijinski's diary is really interesting. It's more about schizophrenia than ballet though.

I concur - love your categories. Isn't there a quote somewhere about making your bed out of books?

Oooh here it comes already - the temptation of a new book. Of course I will now have to check out Nijinski's diary.....
