I'm not sure what kind of goal to set. I've never kept track of how many book I read a year so I'm unsure what's reasonable. I know I've read 5 books so far this year and none of them were the books on my shelf, which seems wrong. Why keep so many books if I'm never going to read them? So this challenge seems like a good idea, even if I'm not sure about choosing a numeric goal.
I'll set a conservative goal of 12, one book a month. However, this might also be a good place for me to record the total number of books in my collection and how many of them I've never read.

2012 Goal Progress: 1/12
I currently have 403 books in my library, but can't tell how many of those I've read before. I guess I'll keep to the small goal for now.

I just finished Her final year, a care-giving memoir : and, His first year, a journey of recovery by James Downey and John Bourke. I recommend it to any long-term caregivers or those who might expect to adopt that role in future.
