Finished and closed
1 Arts and Crafts
2 Needlework
3 Travel and History, nonUK
4 Food
5 Biography
6 Christian Theology
7 other religion
8 Education, etc.

Finished, not closed
1 Travel and history UK (6,8)

Science (4)
Other (7)
Austria (1)
{Survival (9)}
Women (2)

Education etc will fill.
Theology will take a bit more effort to split. It's the non-Christian that I need to concentrate on. Extra Christian is not a problem, as I can probably fill one in overflow.
I can probably read enough narrowboat stuff to do the other split.

BTW This doesn't match the list in the first post, as I have combined some categories there.

Done. Still fiddling a bit, to sharpen the categories. By the end of the month this should be solid.

The theology books look VERY interesting!

Most of them were. A very mixed bag, but mostly interesting. Add in the German, and books listed in other categories, and I read a lot Theology this year: https://www.librarything.com/catalog.php?tag=Theology&offset=0&view=Mart.... In German I still have a few to go on gender issues. In English I expect to add four commentaries on John in about a week. (When I finish working my way through it in Greek.)

German is on my language learning list. How did you come across German? Are you a native speaker?

As for Greek, I know what you mean. It was hell to learn but now it pays off immensely. I am reading parts of The Odyssey for my Greek reading course next term and I cannot wait.

No, I'm English mother tongue, but when I had to choose a language at the beginning of High School, the choices were French or German, and almost everyone chose French, so, of course I wanted German. We moved after a yead, and for the same reason I also ended up with two years each of Latin and Spanish. At the end of High School, of the three languages, I knew the most German.

I like German, and fell in love with Vienna at first sight, and still love the city over 40 years later, most of them spent here.
