By tradition, the goal is to reach 156 books (yeah, yeah, stop laughing), but if I can read at least one to three books in each category, I'll be happy. (I'm also doing the 75 Books Challenge for 2013.)

#17: Thanks, mamzel! :)

#18: Overly ambitious, I think. ;) But thanks!

SARA!!!! I'm so happy to see you here! Good luck, you can do it - especially if you work on the kids books in your library. :) YAY YOU!!!!!!

I'm happy to see you here, too! :) For some strange reason, I almost never check out books from work (I'd rather buy them than borrow them). That's why I added the "Checked Out from Work" category, to put a fire under my butt.

And good luck to you! I'm almost certain you'll reach the 13 x 13 quota. :)

21> I work at a library but borrow most of my books from a different library. LOL.

Welcome!! Looking forward to seeing how you fill your categories! I'm certainly not laughing at 156 - that would be a very respectable total for the year!

#22: I completely understand. :) I used to work part-time at two different library systems. One used to fine staff for late items; another one didn't. Needless to say, I rarely checked items out at the one that would charge us.

#23: Thanks, Eva! :) I think I did the math right (13x13=169-13 for overlaps=156), but for me, it's very unlikely I'll reach that number. But still, it's fun to try. :)

Plenty of categories here for me to keep an eye on. Good luck with your challenge.

I almost never check out books from work
I regularly read books from my work library. However, if a student wants to borrow it I will leave a sticky note on my page and let him/her check it out instead. I've discovered a lot of little treasures hiding on the shelves. Shelving books invariably takes longer than necessary since I find some book I somehow never noticed before or that I forgot we had.

Hey Sara! Hm. You may have inspired me to also do this challenge along with 75. I don't know why it never occurred to me to do both.
Categories flying through my brain ...

Hi Sara, welcome to the challenge. I read and enjoy most of the categories you have listed so I will be dropping by to see what you are reading.

#25: Thank you; I'm going to need it! :)

#26: That's nice of you to let others check out books before you. :) And I know how that goes--finding "little treasures hiding on the shelves." I guess fear of getting in trouble at work for reading when I'm supposed to be shelving has kept me from really even looking at some of our books. I just mentally file them away for when I'm at the bookstore.

#27: I hope that's a good thing. I thought the same thing when I stumbled across this group, but then I remembered how hard it was for me in years back to do both. But I'm sure you'll be able to manage it. Best of luck getting your categories organized. That's one of the fun parts of this challenge. :)

#28: Thanks, DeltaQueen! :) Glad to see we have similar reading tastes. Hope to see you around.

Hi. Just stopping by to check out your challenge.

Just like I'm in awe of people who can read 100+ books a year, I'm in awe of people who can take part in more than 1 challenge. I don't think I'd be able to do the 75er challenge as well as the 13 in 13. This group is pretty active and I'm having enough trouble keeping up with the threads here.

Good luck with your challenge. I look forward to your reading thoughts.

Hi sandragon! :) I'm totally in awe of people who can multitask like that, too. I'm definitely not one of those people. I've tried doing a couple of these 10x10 and 11x11 challenges and failed miserably, so I'm pretty sure I won't make it this year. But it's still fun. :)

As for threads...yikes! I'm really behind on those. Sometimes I wish reading threads went towards our challenges.
