I was recently reminded of a novel Naked Came the Manatee in which every chapter was authored by a different person. I'm sure there are similar books out there. Can anyone recommend some titles?

Naked Came the Stranger is probably one of the most famous. It was written under a psuedonym by several well-known writers and journalists. It was a deliberately bad book intended to parody writers such as Jacqueline Susann and, if I recall correctly, actually made the NYT bestseller list as a result of the attendant publicity when the hoax was revealed.

I vaguely remembered a legal thriller like this from a few years back, but had to Google it: it's Natural Suspect, credited to William Bernhardt; the Amazon page shows John Katzenbach, Lisa Scottoline, Brad Meltzer and other high-profile thriller authors contributing chapters.

I can't recommend it- haven't read it!- but some of the reviews at Amazon are pretty enthusiastic.

Oh, I forgot! There are the Detection Club books! The Detection Club was a group of British mystery writers, including folks like Dorothy L. Sayers, Anthony Berkeley and G.K. Chesterton. They issued several books, in which each chapter was written by a different member.

The Irish seem to be very fond of this genre: I know of Finbar's Hotel, Ladies' night at Finbar's Hotel, and Yeats is dead, but there may well be more.
