Ok, I'll start. In the parlance of technological acceptance, I would be considered a "lagard".

How does one "burn" a Librivox recording to a CD (ie, so one can hear these wonderful readings in the car).

Hi Sandydog

Seeing as nobody else has chipped in, I thought I'd give it a go, on the understanding that I haven't actually done it myself, so there might be a slight element of the blind leading the blind... But in theory it shouldn't be too difficult! However, the first thing to check is that your CD player can play a disc of MP3s (rather than a standard CD) - most do these days I think, though older ones might not.

As for getting the recording to the CD, I'd imagine it would go something like:
- Download the recording (the "Whole book (zip file)" would be the way to go)
- Unzip it (i.e. double click the zip file and follow the instructions)
- Bung a recordable CD into your drive
- Drag or copy and paste the files onto the CD

This final step may or may not do the job. Frankly I'm rather out of date tech-wise - I suspect that a system rather newer than my steam powered one will do the job with no further effort required. However it's possible that you'll need some CD burning software, which you can probably download free from somewhere. I'm assuming that you're using a PC; what operating system are you using?

Does this make sense? If you give this a go and it turns out that you do need burner software, perhaps someone helpful can recommend something.

Good luck!
