Nonfiction book written in 2000-something. Author of relationship advice book (along the lines of “he’s just not that into you”), falls in love with a woman, leaves city to work in house construction/remodeling in New England. Does not have professional carpentry tools, so work crew calls him “Black and Decker”. He marries and, as book ends, he and his wife have rehabbed a house.
