1. Two Mules for Sister Sarah (before Shirley MacLaine went weird on us)
2. The English Patient
3. Dr No (I think)
cris does it have to do with the movies or the actors? I can't see a connection. Maybe having take place in a desert?

>3 Foghorn-Leghorn: The films are right. The connection is in the titles. Nearly got a gold star today!
5Foghorn-Leghorn
No two mules for the english patient riding sister sarah?
6.cris
>5 Foghorn-Leghorn: Close! but no cigar! You funny cockerel!
7Foghorn-Leghorn
Anybody got an idea? Take the prize!
8.cris
>7 Foghorn-Leghorn: Feelin' a little tetchy today?
10.cris
>9 ScoLgo: Yes! Please accept the gold star on Foggie's behalf.
11ScoLgo
No, it's all Foggie's... I only recognized the 'Dr. No' image. Haven't seen the other two films, although I recognized the actors...
I only got the connection after the rooster provided the titles.

12Foghorn-Leghorn
I don't remember the hospitals, except for the obvious one.
13.cris
>12 Foghorn-Leghorn: Fog, mate! Words in the title. A doctor, a (nursing) sister and a patient could all be found in a hospital. Don't go looking for something deep and meaningful, 'cos this quiz ain't it
14Foghorn-Leghorn
Well, I guess I need to turn off the 10% of the brain that I do use. That sister threw me off. I remember that you call nurses sister don't you. You British have weird words for things.
15.cris
>14 Foghorn-Leghorn: Oh bugger! it was my mistake then. I didn't think about you not having sisters. Staff nurses? Could have been worse, I could have gone for Any Brit over 60 would immediately know what it is (plus Julie probably)
17Foghorn-Leghorn
I don't think I've seen any of these films. You got me cris!
18Foghorn-Leghorn
>15 .cris: Must be a British show. I realize we see just a few of your more popular shows here in the US.
19.cris
>15 .cris: It's from a series of low-budget, bawdy films from the late 50s through the 60s and 70s. They seem awful now (all 30 of them)

It was quite difficult to find a recognisable picture of Robert De Niro in Cape Fear. In most of them he appeared to be raping someone...Nice!

26JulieLill
I got to go to go to work in a minute but I think the second picture is from Of Mice and Men with Gary Sinse and John Malkovich. Hope that helps someone solve it.
29.cris
>28 ScoLgo: Good job! They all give me the creeps.
30ScoLgo
>29 .cris: Snakes, Spiders and Men? LOL!!
31.cris

>36 .cris: For me the movies in color are more difficult...the black and white I know are old, so I start from old movies/ late actors/actresses.
38JulieLill
>36 .cris: I watched a lot of b&w films growing up and Errol Flynn was one of me and my mother's favorite actors. Can't forget James Cagney too!

#3 is George Kennedy in possibly Cool Hand Luke
I don't know #1 but it must be about body parts. Hand, feet, and whatever.

>44 Foghorn-Leghorn: Yes and Yes. That just leaves #1 to be identified.
48.cris
Three very famous films, but do you know the "baddie"?
The films, the connection and an extra hurrah for these character's names?

Birds, raptors

59.cris
Flippin' 'eck Fogs, you're on fire today! That is completely the correct answer. I guess a raptor is another term for bird of prey.

>58 Foghorn-Leghorn: >59 .cris: I would expect a chicken to know the other members of his "bird" family:) That was pretty good there Mr. Rooster:)

I snucked in a foreign language film today, but those who know me will recognise one of my very favourite actors in the cast.

62Foghorn-Leghorn
#1 Grapes of Wrath, I believe.
#3 Mads Mikkelsen is the second on right from center. I can't remember the movie. All I can come up with is the hunt or something in Swedish and I don't thing that is it.

63.cris
>62 Foghorn-Leghorn: #1 is correct. #3 is definitely in the right neighbourhood (in fact from watching Bron/Broen I know Denmark and Sweden are joined by a..... bridge). I'll give a bonus point for not knowing # 2. It looks awful!
64C2.
Fruits (grapes, pineapple, apple) in the title -- theme...1) Grapes of Wrath 2) Pineapple Express 3) Adam's Apples
65JulieLill
I got this first two movies but did not know the third movie even though I had seen the movie.
66.cris
>65 JulieLill: Adam's Apples is my favourite black comedy. It's safe to assume I nagged you into watching it at some time during our long acquaintance.

68C2.
>67 .cris: Closet aficionado--kidding! You keep me on my toes!
69Foghorn-Leghorn
That's it! Adam's Apples. It eluded me because I don't think they lined up in the movie like that.
70.cris
>69 Foghorn-Leghorn: Sorry if the picture led you astray. I was hoping the whole cast might have helped rather than just a screen shot.
71Foghorn-Leghorn
The only one I remember is Mads.
72.cris
>71 Foghorn-Leghorn: And so you should Foggie!
74Foghorn-Leghorn
#3 is Rosemary's Baby

I'll give you an extra one today. Easy, but the connection isn't necessarily in the title.

>124 JulieLill: Actually, that occurred to me too, once Stefan had them typed out like that!

Well thank you sir. It just goes to prove my point. I know the actors in #1 and guessed the film correctly. #2..I'm clueless. #3: I brilliantly deduced the actor and googled my way to the film......and came up with zilch connection. I'll let my American cousins show me the way so that I can say "Oh, Of course!"
130Foghorn-Leghorn
#1 is Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, of course. and the only one I know.
131.cris

#2 movie is Butter 2011 which I saw. I don't know what the third one is but I think that is Johnny Depp.
133.cris
So between us we have arrived at:
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Butter
The Rum Diary
The best I can do is hot buttered rum, which sounds pretty vile to me. (It sounds better than a rum buttered cat though). Anyone else?
