Had you guessed it was Vera in the car before she introduced herself? If so what were the clues that helped you work it out?

Oh yes...it had to be Vera. There was a body and she would have moved Heaven and Earth to answer the call....and it was time for her to show her face. Besides... who else has Ann ever described with such venom?

The description of the approaching vehicle gave it away, :)

Woman approaching in her old Land Rover had to be Vera.

Agree just had to be Vera especially when it described the size of the person.

The mention of the Land Rover was the first give away but no doubt about it after the description "She was big. No beauty. Bad skin and bad clothes..."
