Hi, everyone. I'm usually a big reader, but this past year was rough - too much time spent playing games on the cellphone instead of reading. Such a waste. So I'm hoping I can read 75 books this year. In the past, that wouldn't have been a challenge, but that was then and this is now. I'm also hoping I can mostly keep up on my thread and others in this group. Wish me luck!
About me: I like Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Historical Romance, Young Adult Fiction, and some Science Fiction, Fantasy, Juvenile Fiction, Graphic Novels, Memoirs, Nonfiction, and plain old Fiction.
Edited: My little girl cat passed away on January 7. She was 18 1/2 years old. Here's a picture of her from September:

BL I found you! Happy New Year!
I know this last year was really hard on you. I hope this year is better. Sending my best for your sweet cat. Take care of yourself.
When oh when will Peace Talks be released?!
Hello there BL! Saw that you are another Boston local from Bostonian71's thread. thought I'd stop by and say howdy! Wishing you a very wonderful 2017, full of reading and happiness.
Sorry to read about your aging cat's health issues. Those same types of issues are what took Brumley from me at age 18.
I have finally found your thread! Love your thread keeper. What a sweet picture!
Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
My little girl is with the angels.
We thought she had a urinary tract infection, but on Wednesday the symptoms came back worse. An ultrasound on Thursday showed a tumor in her bladder - cancer. Friday she became blocked and they couldn't insert a catheter to empty her bladder, so Saturday morning our vet told me it was time. The animal hospital has a nice room with couches where families can spend some time saying goodbye. I held her by the window so she could watch the falling snow as the vet gave her the injection. It was very peaceful. I miss her so much.
Oh, I'm so sorry. It's so difficult and sad to let them go. I'll be thinking of you.
I'm sorry for the loss of your dear cat, and I wish you comfort in your sorrow.
>9 BookLizard: I'm so sorry! It's so difficult to say goodbye to our furry children.
Oh no.... I am so sorry you have lost your sweet cat. Glad to see see that she was able to enjoy watching the falling snow with you. Furry kids always have a special place in one's heart.
so sorry about your cat. It's so hard to lose such a beautiful companion.
Thank you, everyone. It's been 6 weeks and I'm starting to get used to not having her with me.
I've been doing some reading, but not posting. Maybe I'll get to it this week.
>17 BookLizard: Take your time. We will be here whenever you are ready. Take care of yourself and honor your girls memory.
19> Thanks. I'm doing well - just not much time for reading and even less time online. How are you?
I decided I needed a new thread for a fresh start.
