Have we learnt a bit more about some of the more minor characters in this book, like Mark and Eric? What are your thoughts on them?

I really like the entire crew. The things that they are capable of...and mostly take for granted... sometimes boggles my mind.

I enjoyed learning more about the "minor" characters. I like Juan, Linda, Seng, etc but it's a good idea to expand a bit. These books follow a specific type and after five of them the storyline can get a little stale.

I agree with you, Lynda, there is only so much you can do with the plot lines: they're limited by the very formula which makes them popular. So, it adds to the meat of the story if we get our characters made real.
I liked the childlike qualities of Mark and Eric, as shown in their elbow-nudging attempts to get close to Janni; and the fact that Juan had to draw Eric aside and explain Janni's intentions towards him was pricelessly funny. I bet he still comes home a virgin...

I liked the young guys they make it interesting. Eric seems to have a lot of know how for his age.

I like all the crew members and I like that we're getting some of the backstory. The thing with Eddie in China was even more interesting because of his undercover CIA history. The background on Mark and Eric make them much more interesting - though we've been getting glimpses of Mark's story in each of the books (the punk music, the skateboarding, the "meta"/absurd t-shirts, etc). I'd like to get more information on Linc - he seems very interesting. Also with Mike Trono and Pulaski
