Why did you initially think Cobb wanted to meet Hassan? Was this wise?

I figured he wanted some information from him. I think he was wise to set up a pact with him that would benefit both of them. Better to keep your enemy close.

I think he wanted to meet him to 1) form his own opinion of the man and 2) to potentially offer him a partnership that would benefit the both of them

I thought he wanted to set up a deal with him but I wasn't sure why.

>3 bhabeck: That's true. I thought he planned to use his position to get information about who may have taken Jasmine and who the "Monkey Men" are. He said before they set it up that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." I don't think he ever thought that Hassen had anything to do with the Monkey Men since they attacked Hassen's men as well as trying to kill Cobb's team.

Cobb is not stupid, he'd know the advantages and disadvantages of going into partnership with Hassan. He made the decision that it was worth using Hassan as a local resource.

This was definitely a big risk but Cobb made it work for him, but I'd still watch my back.
