Did the prologue hook you?

Yes, I did enjoy the prologue. That's a book I'd like to read! :)

Yes, especially when it ended with Layfaette and Suluman (not sure of the spelling-I've got it on audio) swimming away from the burning ship and not knowing if they made it.

I enjoyed the prologue very much. I liked the information about Lt. Henry Lafayette and Captain Stephen Decatur and Captain Stewart. Love the history in these books.

I enjoyed the prologue and knew it was going to have something to do with the Corporation's next job.

yes - very much so

In fact, I've got Power, Faith and Fantasy: America in the Middle East 1776 to the Present by Michael B. Oren on my bookcase to read this year which will fit very well with this story

This was quite an in depth prologue (29 pages in my book) and very enjoyable. >2 Sergeirocks: I'm with you Sergei I would love to read the rest of that book. Perhaps Clive Cussler should try a pure historical fiction book around shipping and piracy.
