harlequin military romance

I read this book around 1997 or 1998. The book was a harlequin romance and it was about a guy who I believe was in the army unsure of that though, but he was military, and he was a POW and I believe he was married and he somehow returned home but his hand was injured and his wife had either remarried or was seriously involved with someone else .I don't remember the author though .
