We've now added the ability to import data into the barcodes, custom call numbers, and comments fields. You get to specify where in the MARC record you want to pull this data from in the second step of the MARC import process—at the same time you're adding Tags, setting Collections, etc.

The screenshot below shows what that looks like (click to see larger version). Test it out for yourself by importing some MARC records.*

Since the advent of Barcodes and TinyCat, the ability to import barcodes in particular has been one of our most frequent requests from members—both TC users and not. These improvements make it much easier to move libraries into LibraryThing and/or TinyCat from other systems.

* You can also export your LT library as MARC records.

Sorry, but the page you requested can't be found.

Please check the url. You can also look for help in Groups, or contact us.

>2 Collectorator: Very weird. If I copy/paste the URL for the MARC Import page (which should look like this, by the way: https://www.librarything.com/more/importmarc), it works fine. But, HTML linking to it doesn't work. Changed to general Import/Export page. Export link seems to work fine, though. Thanks!

>4 Collectorator: Right. Woops! Apparently didn't save changes. All better now!
