Did you initially think it was the oil in the lamp that made it important, or the writing on the lamp?

I thought it was the oil assoon as we were told that it contained a liquid

I thought at first it was the writing but if that was the case the story would be over...she had the lamp. What she didn't have was what was in the lamp...so it had to have been the oil.

The mention of the abiotic oil made me think it was the oil, but when it was burnt off I did wonder if it was the writing on the lamp.

I still think the writing will be important. What could they do with the oil, other than study it?
