I don't live in CT but I was born in RI and now live in MA and so have never been far away. A few years back my sister and brother in law introduced me to The Book Barn in Niantic, CT. Truely the most wonderous of places on earth....a regular ol' Disney World for Bibliophiles! The Book Barn is a huge, jam packed used book store that pretty much carries books on any topic you can think of....and probably some that you can't!

The Book Barn is definitely the BEST bookstore in CT. I'm still kicking myself for not catching that 30% off sale a couple weeks ago.

Book Barn's annual 30% off sale starts TODAY, Jan 28th and goes through Feb 5th. I'm in the New Haven area and planning to make a special trip. I checked their website because of Sandydog's post.
