An amusing send-up of ardent Ricardians (I number myself among them, BTW). An English houseparty with period costumes, food, drink, and entertainment - everyone has their historical part to play, and it's all good fun until the characters start dying - in suspiciously familiar ways.

I read it quite some time ago. I must say that I prefer Peters' Amelia Peabody series, but it was a fun read.
