Have you read any Kate Ellis books before? Did you enjoy them?
What are you hoping for from this series?

Her Joe Plantagenet series were all 4.5 - 5★ reads for me, so you could say I enjoyed them, :)
I've ROOed Painted Doom in the Wesley Petersen series, which I gave 4★s, but I'm hoping I'll come to like Wesley as much as Joe as I get into the stories - only time will tell.

I've given all the Joe P books a 4 or 4.5 so I'm looking forward to starting her (even more) popular Wesley Peterson series. Hope it turns out to be a winner as well.

I read "The Merchant's House" last November so I'll be interested to see what you all have to say.

I've read all of Kate Ellis's books and really enjoyed them. I have to say that I liked the Wesley Peterson series more after a few had been written. It was I believe her first books so maybe it just took awhile to get started. I've read this one I know but don't remember much about it.

I loved the Joe Plantagenet series and have wanted to read this series for a while. The reservation on this book cost me a whole 30p!!! 😳😱 So it had better be a good book. 🤣
