I read it years and years and years ago. I want to read it again. I can't remember title or author.
The book had a mainly pink cover. It was a historical romance from what I can remember. Female lead character was running from abusive (I believe deceased) husband. She came to family, a female who owned a brothel. She worked there. Played piano. Was pregnant. Local blacksmith took an interest in her and wanted to court her. I seriously wish I could even remember either of their names. The female lead character had some rose bushes that got bugs and the blacksmith helped her clean them. I am trying to think of anything else I can remember. Will add more as I can remember it.
Approximately how many years ago did you read this? A rough year date can help to start off the search here. (10 years ago? 30?)
Do you remember any details about the story location? Was this a historical set in the American west, or in historical Europe?
I'm looking for a book where the wife seduces her estranged husband (he's a noble of some sort) after going to lessons by a courtesan. Theres one scene in the dressmakers where he helps her pick out some clothes/nightwear
I’d say roughly 10 years or so ago. I believe it was set in the American West.
Toward the end of the book, the blacksmith fashions a ring and asks her to marry him. The baby she had was a girl I believe.
